Hello darlings. In all honesty, Id grab every opportunity to make myself feel driven to set new goals and in this case, it's the start of a new month! We have nine days left before March officially comes. So far, Im doing great on my goals for February but there are things I have been sacrificing. It would be lovely being able to address them in March. On top of that, we're on the third month of the year, meaning the last of the first quarter! Im still slacking on some of my quarterly goals because contrary to what I thought, balancing school, an organization, thesis and creating content for my blog/channel isnt child's play. Yikes. We're doing good though!! The bags under my eyes are show offs but it's all good.
During breakfast with my mom this morning, she commended me for my grades and for being able to manage my time well. I expressed my gratitude with tongue clicks and finger guns and of course, squealing, "Right??? It's my bullet journal!" because quite frankly, Id be such a mess without it.
I found new spread ideas on pinterest and Im sure theyll help me kickstart the coming month!
Here they are..
february review
(what worked, what didnt work, what to improve on)
Reflecting and doing a review of my January seemed to really work for me last month. It set a guideline for me to follow and it made me more aware of what Im doing and spending my time on . Writing down the things that worked has made me feel right about myself and made clear to me what really matters. The things on the “what didnt work” section saved me my precious hours and energy. I used them on trying something new instead of forcing those things to work for me. I was also privy to my shortcomings and the things I can improve on. Didnt know listing it could feel so humbling haha! Im finished with my set up but I still havent found time to actually sit down and look back so it’s kind of empty for now. In addition to that, I still have a week left soo more reflections to do
march check in
A new thing for me! It's like a combination of things to improve on and my monthly goals, at least that's how it is for me. There’s just something in the word “intentions” that’s so gentle and airy in comparison to "goals" and "tasks." I dont know haha
I already have some intentions listed because Im well aware of what Ive been slacking on in the last couple of weeks. For March, I want to live slower, be more conscious of my health and have more time for family including my dogs. I havent visited my Lola in a while and I would really love to do that.
Maybe I can put my monthly goals here too instead putting it in my month at a glance. Ohhhh expectations would be nice too, right? And Im going to write the things Im excited about (aka ed’s album, birthdays, and hopefully a concert)!!! These ideas are just coming to me as I write these and I wish I finished this spread first before I showed you but I guess you’ll have to wait for my March plan with me! Haha!
line art by my little cousin yuna! can never be mad when it comes to her haha 💖
new things
As some of you may have watched, I said on my [2017 bullet journal set up video] that I removed the memories spread. This new things spread took it's throne. I wanted a place I can keep track of the things February has been introducing me to. I realised that it’s a part of my growth and development as well and it'll fit my bullet journal perfectly! As though Im not keen on learning already, this makes me even more enthusiastic with acquiring new skills and info even down to the littlest ones.
Like stated on the spread, it is not limited to what I learnt. It could be something I tried or experienced or anything under the sun that’s new to me or an advancement. It’s so cool to see a long list already and it keeps me from thinking that Im stagnant and complacent because I try my best to be anything but that.
So there you have it! I hope this post was helpful. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a brand new post! Thank you for reading. Ciao 👋🏽
