Hello friends! There’s something intimate about knowing what’s in a someone's bag. It almost feels as if youre knowing the person that they are as well. The things one carries around give us a window to their personality and the things they value. It should be that, or Im just really nosy and seeing more deeply to it than there really is. Oops. Cant help it!

       I recently decluttered my college bag down to the essentials and today, Im giving you a backstage pass to my life in Taft both as a student and an explorer. Here are the pieces of home I carry with me everywhere..

     Both of my journals for writing and planning goes with me everyday. The notebooks that I bring varies on the day and which subjects am I having. My bullet journal is from Victoria’s journals from the National Book Store, my writing journal is from fullybooked and the ones for notetaking are from Muji. On Fridays I bring my Bible and my worship notebook along because I have church + a meeting with my churchmate. Some Tuesdays I have my drawing tablet with me for my graphics class.

         I used to bring a makeup bag with all the concealers, brushes, powders, eyeliners and all. But then a girl’s got to prioritize! I cant have all that if I want all my essentials to fit. Now, I only bring 2 shades of lipstick and my favorite lip balm from Burt’s Bees. I still (hopefully) look decent without makeup but I wont do without color on my lips! I swear, at least 3 people ask me if Im sick or if somethings wrong when Im not wearing lipstick. I look so pale haha! I have my perfume, hair ties including rubber and bobby pins, hand cream and tissue. I ran out of wipes rip. My eyes tend to get itchy and irritated from time to time (i blame pollution) so the eyedrops come in handy! And um, medical tapes. Lol I remember the look of confusion on my blockmate’s face when she asked me why do I have so many of them! Wink wink. 

      My pencil case!! Why is it called pencil case when I have more pens and other stuff than pencils.. Anyway. I also decluttered it because I used to bring ALL of my colored pens, scissors, highlighters and other bullet journaling stuff with me. Imagine having 5 different washi tapes! Now, I cut it down to the crucial things. I only bring one pen for writing, a Unipin for doing borders for my bujo, and one pencil. I use colored pens for highlighting because theyre thinner than stabilo haha! But on midterms week, I need my stabilo. A marker, my date stamper (just being extra..) and um a double sided tape so I can put receipts etc on my journal! I dont know how they all fit in that case but fortunately they do! I still use my case from last year. Seee! Told you, im a good girl.

           And the things I dont know how to categorise but just as important.. My umbrella, sunnies, and purse! I used to bring a big wallet that fits my phone but then it was really a hassle having to carry it around. I turned to this little purse and surprisingly, it fits my cards! Ever since I used it, I never left my ID at home again haha! It also has my security forms at school, receipts, etc. Being able to carry it in my pocket is such a blessing. And it’s more discreet. Not in the photo but I also bring a water bottle. I noticed how I alwaaaays forget to drink water whenever I dont have a bottle. I avoid buying bottled water as much as possible. It’s the least I could do for mama earth. I become such a water hoe whenever I have my bottle. (picture a transparent bottle in your head thx) I excuse myself probably ever 20 minutes to refill it or go pee. ALSO. I swear the worst insult there is in the world would be: your pee is probably yellow. Yikes. The clearer the pee, the closer to heaven.
