"Where
are you?"
“Orangetag..”
“Again?!
Seriously, do you live there?"
Hello darlings. There's this one coffee shop 10 minutes away from home that has completely beguiled me. I love it so much that here I am, writing a whole blog post about it. I was here until 10 last night, and now Im back here again with my friend to finally publish this post. Just take my money already!!!!!

INTERIOR & AMBIANCE
It is a very small and intimate coffee shop ideal for people like me who likes being alone but with company at the same time. It's easy to focus + their playlists are very chill. Although it doesnt hurt to bring someone along. My friend RJ says the place is very relaxing and quiet, suitable for doing work. He added that maybe the reason why I like it here so much is because of the people who are like me. And that’s true to an extent. My favorite thing to watch are women getting work done on their laptops. Like yes girl get it! Ive seen people work on their thesis too and group projects. Though Im used to spacious cafes and restaurants in Manila where a group can have a cubicle to themselves, I think this place has its own charms.
The rustic interior steals my heart everytime. Brick walls, wooden furniture, vintage lights and fixtures. It’s a dream! They have large windows that lets natural light in. I love that I can watch the outside too. Looking at the screen can be exhausting so it’s nice to have somewhere my eyes can wander off to. Also, their ceiling features a wide painting that’s very similar to the work of Michelangelo. Such calming colours. They did a very great job on the overall theme and branding!
((((its currently raining and it's so pretty i wanna cry)
I
feel like a Frenchie everytime Im here journaling or working on my blog. Haha! This
place just makes me fall in love with life even more. I didn’t know somewhere
so near and accessible from where I live could take me away like this. Once
there was a group of performers who played slow love songs on violin and guitar
sweeping everyone off their feet, including me. Especially me!!!!!! Last night,
as I was just leaving, a band came to play. I stayed for a few more minutes
haha I was so spoiled.
Theyre
very keen on aesthetics and branding because even their comfort room has prints
of retro and vintage quotes about coffee! Tmi but.. their bidet is the same as
the one we have so I really feel at home hahahhaha girlll
MENU
Since
Im not a fan of coffee and Im not really in the position to review theirs, Im
going to talk about the one thing which got me coming back- their hot
chocolate. It is served with the right amount of whipped cream and syrup on
top. Thinking about it now makes cringe at the plain hot chocolate from
starbucks Im having right now. (author’s note: this post was written and edited
in different places on different days.)
Im that person who takes a while looking at the menu only to order the same usual item over and over again. But for the first time since my first visit, I ordered something different! Yay! Achievement unlocked haha. I got their Orangetag Frappe because I thought that it would just be fitting to do a review of their original if I was to feature them on the blog. I was a bit displeased when it got to me because it didnt have the chocolate syrup it had on the picture! Advertising tactics. But boy did the taste catch me off guard! Just the perfect blend of mocha. Also, why is whipped cream the best invention ever?
As for their drinks, they vary from frappes, iced and hot coffee and tea. The price isn’t so bad for the amount of serving you get. Mocha Negrita, their best seller when it comes to drinks, is at P165 but we shared It because I was sure neither of us would finish it haha! I think its looks gave me high expectations. Not that I was disappointed but lets just say that the Orangetag Frappe made me swoon more. Haha! The dark chocolate bits saved it for me though!!
They also have a platter of onion rings, nachos, and fries for P159. I think it’s worth the price because it’s good for 3-4 people and hey you get 3 dishes. Good for snacking over long chitchats.
SERVICE
They gave me feedback form to fill up. My answer
was: “Id die for your hot chocolate! Puts starbucks to shame! And thank you for
not giving me weird looks for overstaying.” Haha they have the nicest staff,
giving me water without my asking and refills it from time to time. And all
smiles!!!!! Sometimes when I look up from my laptop to rest the barista would
smile. Once I was trying to finish my paper for my literature class, one of
them came to refill my water and asked me with the cutest smile, “kaya pa?”
Aaahh cute. I forgot what it was like to be exhausted after that haha!
They have the best customer service! Doing a very great job on making every customer feel welcome by saying "hi!" upon entrance, and appreciated because they never fail to thank them when theyre leaving. My heart hurts!!!!!!! They post pictures of their customers from time to time on their facebook page. They have promos and events every once in a while too. I heard they are expanding. They have a separate room I think for reservations, poetry nights, performances, etc.
To the management, hire me pls. HAHHAHHAA it's my dream to experience being a barista! Or you can sponsor me.. that would be lovely too. hahahhaha rip
That's it for today! I enjoyed writing this post so much because I got to try different kinds of food! Food bloggers have one of the best jobs in the world in my opinion hahahaha thank you so much for taking the time to read. I appreciate it a lot. See you tomorrow? :)
Ciao!
