Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

With her poetry, Kaur takes us to a roller coaster of emotions alluding love, heartbreak, abuse, feminism and empowerment of individuals. Milk and Honey contains her collection of modern poetry breaking the rules of rhyme, poetic meters and even punctuation. Despite that, her words give one a feeling of familiarity for they are written unposed and boldly. The book is divided into four parts/chapters. There arent so many big words that would require you to have a dictionary in hand while reading but the way she plays with simple words will leave you staring at a wall contemplating life and love and everything in between. The illustrations are just a bonus.

Here are a few of my favorite pages.
